Felicity Square is our dedication to the city of Thiruvananthapuram (also known as Trivandrum), a city of great cultural heritage and the abode of Sri Padmanabha. The capital city of Kerala “Gods own Country” which is also the most literate state of the Republic of India. With its highest number of NRIs, Kerala also accounts to the highest Forex earning state in the country.
The Varkey Group
Varkey Group is a very established group with its primary activities in the Middle East, UK, Europe and India. The group is spearheaded by its very dynamic and visionary Chairman Mr. Sunny Varkey who is a recognized Philanthropist non Resident Indian, who is also the recipient of “PadmaSri” which is one of the very prestigious and highest civilian award bestowed by the Govt. of India. The group is renowned for its expansive and immense contribution to the education and healthcare sectors.
Heritage
M/s. S Koder Ltd., was a respected Jewish company that was established in 1868 as a main dealer for Godrej, Binny Silks and other consumer goods. Varkey Group took over M/s. S Koder Ltd. in 1991. M/s. S Koder Ltd. had their own property of 1133 Sq. Mts. situated in the heart of the city on MG Road. M/s. S Koder Ltd was closed down in the year 2000. We purchased the adjacent 647.5 Sq. Mts. land to establish the current Felicity Square property.

Inception
Though the main strength of the group is in Education and Healthcare, our Chairman was very supportive and very encouraging to this venture to offer the people of Thiruvananthapuram, a state of the art commercial complex incorporating some of the best facilities often found in advanced countries. The idea was discussed with Architects M/s. Iyer & Mahesh, a very reputed Architect in Kerala and Mr. M S Nair, a veteran in the Varkey Group as Consultant.
We take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Mariamma Varkey and Mrs. Sherly Varkey for their support, encouragement and advice for making this project a reality from its conception.
The Project
The Felicity square project was awarded to M/s. Iyer & Mahesh subsequently Mrs. Sherly Varkey laid the foundation stone in 2005. The project was completed in a record 1.2 years time with the efficient and professional management of our Consultant Mr. M S Nair and Architects M/s. Iyer & Mahesh.
We would like to thank our Bankers M/s. Federal Bank, Palayam Branch, Thiruvananthapuram for their co-operation and support.
Felicity Square was completed on 9th April 2007 and since then, we have been the signature address to some of the prestigious and leading business houses from India and abroad offering state of the art facilities including central air-conditioned building, controlled with modern building management systems and dedicated 24/7 security and facility management teams.
Going Forward…….
Though Commercial Buildings, construction, or Facility Management is not the group’s core business, we ventured into this, as our commitment to the State of Kerala, particularly the city of Thiruvananthapuram to invite and boost the investment climate by offering modern infrastructure. This was our first such project and it proved to be successful and need of the hour to help MNCs establish their footprints in this city.

A Modern Shopping Arcade and Entertainment Centre in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram city
A few months down the line Trivandrumites will open their eyes to a whole new world of shopping and entertainment experience. It will be a shopping mall located in the city of Trivandrum.
Felicity Mall will developed and promoted by Star hill Real Esate Co. Pvt. Ltd., India. We hope that the mall will become one of the busiest shopping avenues for the city of Trivandrum.
